| | Welcome to summer! The year is almost halfway over, and it has been about 2 months since the Industry Advancement Summit in Nashville ended. Nashville was an exciting city for the Summit with plenty of activities after hours. We had over 260 members filling 47 meeting opportunities over 3 very productive days. The golf tournament was enjoyed by 48 members. The “Running of the Bulls” went smoothly and is always a highlight of the opening day. We ended the day with great views from the rooftop and a very talented local country singer. The Board met on the closing Thursday night with overall positive reviews of the hotel and Summit. I want to thank again the event sponsors: Codelocks, Ilco, KSP, Keyline and Strattec.
Over the summer and fall the Committees and Board will meet and plan. We will look at future Summit locations and Ben Silver Seminar speakers. We will discuss other training and information that can benefit the membership. We will also look at the Committee membership and make sure we are accommodating everyone that wants to be active. We welcome all input of ideas as well as members looking to get more involved.
Thank you to everyone who continue to make the Industry Advancement Summit such a great success: our SHDA staff, our sponsors, and of course the members who carve out time from busy schedules. Save the date for 2025. We’ll be meeting at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort on April 28 through May 1, a new location in the Phoenix area.
