It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Al Hoffman of IDN-H. Hoffman. He was a legend in our industry and will be sorely missed. Al was a founding member of the National Locksmith Suppliers Association, now SHDA.

Alvin M. Hoffman, 83, beloved husband of Yetta, nee Weintraub; loving father of Laurie (Gary Rubin) Larson, Karen (David Kahl), Steven (Andrea) and Donna Jo (Alan Brownstone); devoted grandfather of Anna, Eric, Matt, Jamie, Nina, Jaclyn and Oliver; son of the late Frieda and Harold Hoffman; fond brother of the late Jerry (Maida) Hoffman; dear uncle and friend to many; a WWII Navy Veteran and founding member of The National Locksmith Suppliers Association (known as SHDA). Funeral service Thursday 1 p.m. at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
